The 2012 IIC was held Oct 1-6 at the Rivera hotel and casino in Las vegas. The event is not only a spectacle do to it being on the Las Vegas strip but also do to the atmosphere in the Grand Ball room and the event running's of Scotty Ernst and crew members.
Team Xray's representation at the event included Drew Ellis, Andrew Hardman, Eric Anderson, Craig Xavier, Blake Keulen, Paul Lemieux, Steve McNichols, Arthur Scrimo Austin Harrison and more. |

Practice started on Tuesday mourning. By tuesday afternoon the groove was up and the real testing was beginning. A few drivers received the new T4 just before or at the event. Paul's first run on the T4 was Really fast but he said needed some obvious set up tweaks for a brand new car. Andrew Hardman, Drew and Eric also were shaking down the T4 and were excited about its potential. Craig Xavier and Arthur Scrimo were already looking fast in the 17.5 division and Young Blake Keulen was finding more pace every run and early in 12th mod Paul lemieux looked really good with the X12.
Qualifing started on Thursday morning, the team was all close to the pace so a good adjustment and a good drive would put anyone in contention in their respective classes. Paul was still trying many set ups on his T4, Paul's pace showed that he could match the fast laps of but was still adjusting to the car and never had a super clean run. Drew and Andrew Hardman showed good pace as well and their cars were looking really good. In the end All three T4's competing in the modified class made the A-final.
In the 13.5 Class Xray had Drew Ellis, Andrew Hardman and Arthur Scrimo in the final. Austin Harrison had really fast pace in 13.5 but missed the final do to bad luck in qualifying. In 17.5 TC Eric Anderson put in a great run to qualify second with his Xray. Also qualifing directly to the final in 17.5 tc was Austin Harrison, Arthur Scrimo, Craig Xavier. Young Blake Keulen would end up in the final as well with a great drive in the B final to make the A Final. |

Mod TC: After a rough start for most of the field it was a two car race Between TQ Ronald Volker and Kevin Hebert, the two would pace each other for the better part of the race with Volker taking the win in the end by a small but comfortable margin . Paul's rough start was followed up by a driver error which would break his car and drop him from the race. Andrew Hardman scrapped his way up to finish 5th with a nice drive and Andrew Ellis respectively finishing 7th.
The the 13.5Tc Final it was a battle between Kevin Hebert and Hayato Matsuzaki, Hayato would lead the majority of the final but a small mistake allowed Kevin to take the lead and take the win. Again in the 13.5 final the Andrew's finished 5th and 7th respectively in the with Art Scrimo in 9th |

In 17.5TC it was Mike Haynes who jumped out front, Mike gaped the field for a couple of minutes until Xrays Craig Xavier all the way from 7th on the grid and was charging hard and setting the fastest laps of the final. Craig briefly made it to the lead after a bump pass which caused Haynes to roll, subsequently Craig relinquished the lead to Haynes and never got a chance to get by again. Arthur Scrimo put in a great drive to 4th, Austin Harrison to 6th, Eric Anderson to 7th and Blake Keulen to 8th.
Mod 12th Scale was a two car race after the start. It was Hebert and Levanen who quickly were pushing each other away from the Dicey field. The race for third was wide open between Howart, Cyrul, Knapp, Lemieux, Lia to name a few. In the end It was Lemieux with his X12 who was able to put a steady drive together and work by the others to finish third.
